Supreme Court to hear ex-Delhi LawMin Bharti’s bail plea on 28 September [Read Order]
Supreme Court has agreed to hear former Delhi Law Minister and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti’s plea for protection from arrest in a domestic violence case filed by his wife on Monday, September 28.
The Special Leave Petition to Appeal which was filed on Wednesday evening, was mentioned before a bench of CJI HL Dattu and Justice Amitava Roy on September 24.
Upon mentioning, bench ordered:

Delhi HC observed charges to be serious, dismissed bail plea
While dismissing his bail application, Delhi High Court held:
In the present case, the allegations against the petitioner are very serious. The case against the petitioner is under Sections 307/313/324/498-A/406/417/420/506/511/34 IPC.Keeping in view the law discussed above and the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not find any merit in the instant petition.
